The Complete Custom Jewelry Packaging Process: From Concept to Mass Production

Sep 09, 2026

For first-time buyers, custom packaging can feel like an overwhelming process with many unknown steps. Some clients expect samples the day after sending reference images; others make repeated design changes after sample approval, delaying delivery. This guide breaks down our complete process into five clear stages, so you know exactly what to expect at each step — and what we need from you to keep things moving.

Stage 1: Concept & Quotation

You provide product dimensions, reference images, desired materials, quantity, and target budget. We recommend suitable materials and structures, then provide a detailed quotation within 24 hours.Any drawings or reference photos you can share at this stage help us understand your vision more accurately.

Stage 2: Design & Artwork Confirmation

Our designers prepare structure drawings and 3D renderings based on your requirements. You review and confirm the structural design, printing colors, and finishing processes such as hot stamping, embossing, or UV printing. This is also the time to approve artwork files. To avoid delays, please make sure all artwork changes are finalized at this stage. Any changes during production may incur additional costs and extend the timeline.

Stage 3: Sampling

We produce physical samples using the confirmed materials and processes. A sampling fee applies for the first round, which is fully refundable once you place a bulk order up to certain quantity. The sampling process typically takes 7 to 10 days after mock-up is confirmed We ship samples via air for your physical evaluation. You check the material feel, color accuracy, structure stability, and overall finish, then provide feedback or approval.

Stage 4: Mass Production

Upon your sample approval and deposit payment, we schedule production. Our quality control team conducts inspections at six checkpoints throughout the process: incoming material inspection, printing quality, lamination, assembly, finishing, and final inspection before ship. Typical production lead time is 15 to 25 working days, depending on order quantity and complexity.
